Barrington Flower Shop

Oil on Panel, 11 inches by 14 inches. Alternate painting for the 2025 Paint the Town Barrington event. In the heart of downtown Barrington, the entrance of the Barrington Flower Shop bursts with autumn color as a painterly arrangement of seasonal blooms greets the street. Brilliant yellow mums, vivid orange marigolds, and deep bronze flora catch the warm sunlight, creating luminous yellow highlights that practically radiate off the canvas. Deep violet and purple shadows pool along the siding, along the sidewalk, and the flower displays, anchoring the brilliant yellows of late-afternoon warmth with striking contrast and painterly depth.
